My Dream, My Future

Laughs, cries, cheers and jeers, a noisy classroom: a busy life – I will no longer hear for a period of time. A month to go and I will bid goodbye to Ilocos Sur National High.

A month ago, I was so excited to go to college, graduate and finally, get to my own life. It seems to me now that it is hard to be parted ways with the set of true friends, the companion and the school where all the good and worth – remembering experiences happened. Sometimes, I just want to shut my eyes and dream of things like travelling to the future. In my dreams, everything is fast, life is luxurious and Earth is perfect. Things are seen differently, like watching a movie with 3D glasses, the surroundings is colorful and the film starts to roll. I got a degree in our province, nursing it is, and passed the board exams. I was then hired by a private with a high profile in the White House Community. Years after, I got employed in government hospitals in English countries and travel every 3 months for the promotion as the head of doctors while practicing 2 professions. I have helped my parents send my siblings to universities and by now, my parents are just home abroad, with our relatives for they are already old for work and I told them to do so for I could support them already. I am still continuing on helping the less fortunate people and share my blessings with the out of school children. For a period of time, about 5% of depleted ozone layer has been patched up because of the environmental projects implemented by the government and I am one of the volunteers. I have found the cure to bone cancer and some airborne diseases that travelled across continents. Thus, I have saved millions of lives with GOD’s help. Right now, I am engaged and in two years time, I will start my own family already.

Sometimes, good things happen with closed eyes, just like kissing and dreaming. Dreams are all that we have now and we should ask for the help of GOD for Him to guide and lead us to the right way. I have a lot more plans in the future than I could ever think of or write in a paper. Dreams are sweet. Failures are sour. Faith and hope is a powerful ingredient to a successful recipe in life and at the meantime, it is all that we have to go on with life.

Change: It Starts With Me

A perfect place to dwell with loved ones, a stressed man’s walkabout place, a child – friendly community. Philippines was once like a paradise when modernization didn’t take pace yet. Now it is called as the Land of Monkeys. Will we ever change the image of our country?

It is conscience that pushes me to a world of gigantic ideas, ideas that could heal this world and make it a better place. One is being nationalistic. To buy foods and crafts made by our very own Filipino men is a very good start. In such a way, the country will be more progressive and that could add to the budget of our country.

Another is that, I am going to put things into their proper places, to put the trashes in bin cans, to plant and to maintain the trees.

Lesser use of CFC’s is what I will do at home. I will use lesser spray nets and unplug appliances that emit large amounts of CFC’s like the fridges, if no food is inside it, better turn it off. I will continue on doing the “Save the Planet Earth” by switching the electricity off for several hours.

Lastly, I will study hard to be more knowledgeable person in taking good care of not only my future but also the country’s welfare. Most importantly, to put into practice the things I have learned in school and at home.

This is all for now. They are but dreams and aspirations until I will become a person GOD wants everyone to be and then I will remedy the problems that we want to be alleviated.

The Unraveling

The book of my life continues running through the pages of every chapter. Few pages are down and chapters more to go. The third quarter of the senior life has passed and it left marks in my mind and heart and has been moved to the box of memories that I keep.

I barely noticed the passing of time, it maybe because of the company of my friends and family which makes life a bit easier. One of the contributors of my knowledge are my teachers, who gives me a daily dose of learning most especially about the modernized world. It has been unraveled, undressed and now I know the secrets on how to make a web page and other constituents. I enjoyed this topic so it was just easy to adapt to the MS Frontpage. I learned how to make my own web and I know, after sometime, I might learn how to animate.

Though I haven’t made the most this grading, I have done my part. Tardiness was all I have to oppose to accomplish things…and I did it quite well.

One more grading to go, more lessons to learn, more promises to commit and break and more mistakes to make. Making the most of it is my target now. What we have to do is to trust ourselves and commit ourselves to the LORD and he will do the rest.

"Filipino-Values Club Celebration"

Its easy to be nationalistic yet hard to prove it. As time goes by, the importance of our homeland to us is abated because of the different things that exist every now and then.

The Philippine society is a very productive society because of its gifted people. Although our motherland is full of the treasures that any other nations could ask for, other people are still craving for more. Often, we, Filipinos, avail of the products that are offered by foreigners and seldom use our products. Though this feeling of colonial mentality is winning in everybody’s mind, other people still try to convince others to love their own just like the programs that are being implemented in our school. In such a way or the other, it really delivers a message to us. A message that we should love our own by simply singing country songs, dancing folk dances and many more. I may not have joined any activities lately but I can assure myself that I have been doing my part and that is what matters most. Its not easy after all, nothing’s been made easily. We may not be somewhat delighted of those traditions that we have but we should at least give some importance to it for we all know that it is a part of our living.

Knocking on the hearts of many was never easy but opening the minds in the best substitute we ever have. We are the hope and pride of our nation and whatever honor our nation has is our pride and hope.
